Potted Christmas trees will happily grow inside for up to a month. It is important that you water thoroughly 2 to 3 times a week to ensure good health (please refer to our Watering Pots care sheet for more information). Place a saucer underneath to catch any residual drips however, the plant should not be allowed to sit in water. If necessary, put some pot feet in the saucer to raise the tree out of any excess water.
After Christmas put the tree outside in a semi shade position. This will reduce the tree burning if the weather is extreme.
Treat as any other pot plant for the rest of the year. Water regularly and feed with a slow release fertiliser twice a year. Repot every 3-4 years in late winter. Root prune at this time and your Christmas tree will last indefinitely.
